Shingles - vaccination
Shingles (herpes zoster) is a painful rash caused by the varicella-zoster virus, the same virus that causes chickenpox. After chickenpox, the virus remains dormant in the body and may reactivate years later, causing shingles. The shingles vaccine helps reduce the risk of shingles and complications such as long-lasting nerve pain. It is recommended for adults aged 50 years and over and requires two doses for full protection. Cost:£316 per dose. Please speak to our pharmacist for more information
