Meningococcal (meningitis) B - vaccination
Meningitis B (MenB) is a serious infection caused by the bacterium Neisseria meningitidis group B. It can lead to an infection of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord, as well as septicaemia, a serious infection of the bloodstream. Meningitis can be very serious if not treated quickly. Vaccination is available for individuals aged 2 months and older.
